That number may have worked for them and their connection, but as I stated above, the correct procedure is as a percentage of the overall speed. I could not see the comments from the link (it led to the download) but anyone who gives you a set number for capping upload speed does not know what they are talking about. Bt said that there is no fault on their side and will charge us if we ask for an engineer. The internet is not working and no one is helping us. We called bt up and they said that download speed is guaranteed but not the upload speed. If I try to upload anything bigger, it doesn't work.
I can upload a file maybe 500KB or lower, but it takes several minutes. My download speed is FINE, fast like it's always been (over 20 Mbps). Nothing changed with my PC/modem/router, so I don't know what happened. I know most people like to have several torrents running at once, but running torrents one or two at a time will give you the best overall download speed and get you all of the files faster.
